Sofia, June 1 (BTA) - The recently dismissed former Deputy
Director of the State Agency for National Security (SANS),
Nedyalko Nedyalkov, explained to journalists on Tuesday that one
of the reasons for revoking the access to classified
information of caretaker Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov was the
fact that he disclosed such data.

Nedyalkov was sacked on May 28, a week after former SANS head
Dimitar Georgiev. Nedyalkov has worked in the security services
for 18 years and served as deputy to Georgiev and his
predecessor, Vladimir Pisanchev.

One week ago, the former director of SANS, Dimitar Georgiev,
told the media that Rashkov's access had been revoked for three
years, leaving one more until the restriction was lifted.
However, the Minister currently has access because of the
position he holds.

On Tuesday, Nedyalkov pointed out that SANS officials had
informed Rashkov of his denied access.

The former deputy director of SANS said that at his first
meeting with caretaker Prime Minister Stefan Yanev, Boyko
Rashkov asked him why he did not revoke the permission of the
Prosecutor General to classified information. Nedyalkov did not
ask him why he wanted SANS to take such actions. According to
him, Rashkov had a "fixation" on the Prosecutor General.

Nedyalkov also said that his own dismissal was part of a larger
goal and that he would file a lawsuit for illegal removal from
office. NV/DT
