Sofia, August 7 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 427,481, after 16,965 tests identified 549 new infections on Saturday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 3.2 per cent.

The active cases are 10,373. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 987, including 91 in intensive care.

Another 89 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours. Eight fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to 18,251.

With 11 883 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2 088 021 persons in aggregate have received a coronavirus vaccination so far. LN/DT
