COVID-19 Update: 392 New Cases

Sofia, August 8 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 427,873, after 17,469 tests identified 392 new infections on Saturday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/ on Sunday. The test positivity rate now stands at 2.2 per cent.

The active cases are 10,747. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 1,013, including 98 in intensive care.

Another 17 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 398,874.

One fatality was reported, and the death toll now adds up to 18,252.

With 3,278 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,091,299 persons in aggregate have received a coronavirus vaccination so far, including 1,035,866 fully vaccinated. LN/
