Sofia, October 27 (BTA) - The Council for Electronic Media on Wednesday elected Milen Mitev as Director General of the Bulgarian National Radio.

Mitev was backed by four of the five-member Council: chair Betina Zhoteva, Galina Georgieva, Sonya Momchilova and Sofia Vladimirova. Rozita Elenova abstained.

On October 25 and 26, candidates presented their concepts about the management and development of BNR.

Mitev together, Mitko Dimitrov and Ivo Todorov competed for the post.

Former BNR chief Andon Baltakov resigned in August and Mitev was appointed as interim head of the radio. RY/PP//
