Party, Movement Urge for Ban of  Islamic State Propaganda in Social Networks


Sofia, September 15 (BTA) - In a declaration unveiled at a
BTA-hosted news conference on Monday, the Society for New
Bulgaria Party and the Independent Bulgaria Movement urged the
Government to ban the propaganda of the jihadist symbols of the
Islamic State in the social networks and other media.

Alex Aleksiev, who is running for Parliament on the list of
Society for New Bulgaria, said that Bulgarian citizens have been
engaged for weeks in unlawful propaganda of that terrorist
organization in the social networks. He pointed out that such
incitement to violence has led to a full ban of such propaganda
in Germany and called on the Bulgarian authorities to follow the
German example.

The two entities appealed to all political forces to take a
stand on this threat to national security.

They will ask the Minister of Interior for information on the
maintenance of public order and security during the election
campaign.
