Patriotic Front to Reconsider Its Decision to Stay Out of  Government

Sofia, October 25 (BTA) - "On Friday evening we learnt that GERB
has changed its position, even though just days ago we agreed
to sign a programme for responsible governance. I can't say
whether we will change our position on non-participation with
ministers, even though we have decided not to have political
figures of ours in the government," National Front for the
Salvation of Bulgaria leader and Patriotic Front Co-chairman
Valeri Simeonov said on Darik Radio on Saturday.

He was apparently referring to a statement by GERB's Tsetska
Tsacheva on National Television Saturday evening, who said: "We
are deeply grateful for the Patriotic Front's political support,
but in our opinion a successful governance formula is a
political cabinet with shared responsibility. That's why we
would like the Patriots to participate in the government."

"During the talks with GERB, we concurred on the drawing up and
signing of a programme on stable governance, and I'm a little
surprised by the change in GERB's position," Simeonov said,
adding that if GERB come up with a formal position on the
matter, the Patriotic Front will reconsider its position during
the meeting of its Political Council on Sunday.

He explained that the Front would rather not contribute cabinet
members lest this be interpreted as backpedaling from its desire
to form a government of its own, as expressed during its
election campaign.
