Patriotic Front Not To Participate in Future Government with
Political Figures

Sofia, October 26 (BTA) - Patriotic Front (PF) will not participate in a future
government with political figures irrespectively on which party'
mandate it is formed, said Valeri Simeonov, Co-Chairman of PF,
after a meeting of political council of the party on Sunday.
Simeonov explained that the decision was taken right after the
elections on October 5 and was reaffirmed during the meeting.
The dialogue between the political forces should not be
conducted through the media, all the more after we held two
rounds of negotiations and expect the signing of programme for
stable governance, Simeonov further said.

He was apparently referring to a statement by GERB's Tsetska
Tsacheva on National Television Friday evening, who said: "We
are deeply grateful for the Patriotic Front's political support,
but in our opinion a successful governance formula is a
political cabinet with shared responsibility. That's why we
would like the Patriots to participate in the government."

PF said they have not received any information from GERB for a
change in their position and that's why PF will not declare any
position.

We do not have any requirements who GERB will nominate for
prime-minister or ministers, but as for our coalition we have
the full right to take a decision on our own and as we have
decided not to propose any political figures, then we will not
such proposals, said PF Co-Chairman Krasimir Karakachanov. In
Karakachanov's words PF can propose experts who will be better
ministers than any political figures.

It transpired after today's meeting that Karakachanov will be
nominated as National Assembly Deputy Chair, Valeri Simoenov
will be nominated as a chairman of the parliamentary group of PF
and Valentin Kasabov, Poli Karastoyanova and Iskren Vesselinov
as his deputies. Yulian Angelov will be proposed for secretary
of the group.
