Sofia, February 1 (BTA) - Six Bulgarians aid workers, captured
in Sudan, have been freed and are in a safe place with a team of
the United Nations World Food Programme, the Foreign Ministry
said on Sunday.
They were taken captive by militants from "Sudan People's
Liberation Movement-North" /SPLM-North/ after their helicopter
made a forced landing near Kaduqli on January 26.
The Foreign Ministry thanked the UN Programme and its field
teams in South Sudan, the office of the UN Assistant
Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, and the Sudanese
