3 Million Leva Worth of Cocaine Seized at Sofia Airport


Sofia, February 3 (BTA) - Three million leva worth of cocaine
was intercepted by customs officers at Sofia Airport, the
Customs Agency said on February 2.

The drug, weighing about 2.5 kg, was placed in bottles which
were found in the luggage of a Chilean woman arriving in
Bulgaria. The woman was arrested.

The cocaine was found to be very pure. If diluted at a ratio of
1:7 and sold on the street, it could fetch over 3 million leva
in proceeds, the Customs Agency said.
