Health Ministry Publishes Report
on September - December 2021

Sofia, December 13 (BTA) - The Ministry of Health published Monday a report on its activity from September through December 2021. The report is available on the MinistryТs website.
The Ministry and the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) facilitated the establishment of specific COVID-19 zones at outpatient medical establishments, now numbering 115 across the country, the report reads. There patients receive medical service regardless of their health insurance status and the tests and medications are covered by NHIF.
Action on projects, changes in the way of medical doctor specialization, continuation of the process of deinstitutionalization and closure of homes for children combining medical and social care, as well as enhanced control are also included in the report.
For the first time in Bulgaria, focused investments are set aside for developing a system of emergency air medical service, the report says. RY/BR//
