Public Financial Inspection Agency Completes 176 Checks in Third Quarter of 2016

Sofia, January 10 (BTA) - In the last quarter of 2016 inspectors of the Public Financial Inspection Agency (PFIA) carried out 176 financial checks, of which 80 following alerts, and 96 scheduled in the annual plan of PFIA.

The inspections established damage to the amount of 4,123,998 leva, 71,112 leva out of which were prevented damages, while 559,102 leva were recovered during the checks.

The checks included 542 public procurement procedures worth a total of 230,890,984 leva. Sixty cases were established of non-conducted or unduly conducted public procurement procedures worth 17,185,018 leva.
