Sofia, April 27 (BTA) - The ministers of education of Bulgaria and Ukraine, Krassimir Vulchev and Liliya Hrynevich, signed here on Friday a declaration which guarantees the right of ethnic Bulgarians in Ukraine to study their mother tongue and be taught in it, the Education Ministry reported.

The Ukrainian side commits to attracting experts from Bulgaria for drafting the school literature.

The declaration's text was drafted and coordinated after Minister Vulchev's visit to Ukraine last year.

Vulchev has expressed appreciation for the guarantees provided during the talks, noting that the law on education adopted in Ukraine does not aim to restrict minority groups' rights to study their own language.
