Sofia, May 2 (BTA) - Bulgaria's general business climate index rose by 2.8 points in April 2018 compared with March 2018 as a result of an increase of all index components, the National Statistical Institute reported.

The index component describing the business climate in industry went up by 0.7 points in April 2018 compared with March 2018 due to the optimistic expectations of industrial entrepreneurs about the condition of their companies in the next six months.

The index component describing the business climate in the construction sector increased by 5.1 points as a result of more positive assessments and expectations of construction entrepreneurs about the condition of their companies.

The index component describing the business climate in retail trade rose by 0.5 points due to more optimistic expectations of retailers about the condition of their businesses in the next six months.

The index component describing the business climate in the services sector went up by 7.1 points as a result of the positive assessments and expectations of entrepreneurs about the condition of their companies.
