Sofia, May 25 (BTA) - A celebration in the garden outside the National Theatre in central Sofia will mark Africa Day on May 26. It will be held by African countries with diplomatic representations in Bulgaria: South Africa, the Sudan, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Palestine, Mauritius and the Seychelles.
South African Ambassador Vanessa Calvert who is also dean of the group of African countries in Bulgaria, said the celebration will be themed Africa in Bulgaria. The programme will include traditional music and singing, and a market for traditional foods, clothing and jewellery.
Bulgarian Vice President Iliana Iotova is expected at the opening of the celebration. VI/LN/
