The 5K Beroe Road Race will be held in Stara Zagora on Sunday for the second year in a row, said Ivan Kolev, President of the Bulgarian Athletic Federation, at a press conference on Friday. The press conference was also attended by Emilia Draghieva, Vice-chair of the Beroe Athletics Club, and Petko Krumov, head of the Sports Activities Department in Stara Zagora Municipality.

"This 5K Beroe Road Race project was organized by the young coaches in the club, Ivan Popov and Eleonora Draghieva. We have excellent working conditions thanks to the care of the Stara Zagora Municipality", Draghieva pointed out.

Participants from Kenya, Cyprus, the Netherlands, Denmark and Belgium will take part in the race on Sunday. The race will provide all participants with a challenge and a lot of positive emotions.. The course of the competition is licensed and suitable for absolutely all lovers of running, the organizers stated.

A city-wide run for children will also be held on the same day, with more than 600 children enrolled to take part in the 600 metre run.
