On Friday night, the Israeli army announced that it had killed several Hezbollah commanders in southern Lebanon, reported Agence France-Presse. The attack was carried out by fighter jets. The statement, posted on Telegram, said the attack killed Hezbollah rocket unit commander Mohammed Ali Ismail, his deputy "and other terrorists."

Also on Friday, Israel carried out air strikes in the southern suburbs of Beirut, including on Hezbollah headquarters. According to the latest figures from the Lebanese authorities, at least six people were killed in the attacks in the capital.
