The documentary The Last Seagull will be screened at the Brotfabrik cinema in Berlin on Thursday, the Director of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in the German capital, Borislav Petranov, told BTA. The film tells the story of Ivan, a Bulgarian ladies' man, who struggles with unemployment, alcoholism, and self-hatred.

The documentary offers a comedic glimpse into the world of the desperate. A film about the imaginary European paradise, the rapidly changing social and political life, and the exploitation of a broken system, all seen through the eyes of a broken man.

The Last Seagull, directed by Tonislav Hristov, is a production of Finland, Norway, and Bulgaria, with the support of the National Film Centre. The screenwriters are Tonislav Hristov and Kaarle Aho, the cinematographer is Orlin Ruevski, and the music is by Petar Dundakov.
