The Bulgarian military research vessel Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii (NAVAL RSV 421) will be welcomed by a harbour pilot and a tugboat upon her arrival in Mar del Plata. "One mile east of Cabo Corrientes, a local pilot will board the ship via a pilot cutter. Once the NAVAL RSV 421 enters the port of Mar del Plata, her maneuvers will be assisted by a tugboat and she will dock at the naval base in the city," Lieutenant Commander Radko Muevski told BTA on Friday.
The vessel will arrive in Mar del Plata in the early afternoon of February 3 (Argentina's time zone relative to Coordinated Universal Time is -3 hours).
NAVAL RSV 421 is continuing on her course to the Argentinian port, its second stopover on its historic first voyage to Livingston Island in support of the 31st Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition.
