Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov Friday told the Bulgarian National Television that Bulgaria's aid to Ukraine was being used as combat equipment and ammunition in its territory. "Everything we have supplied to Ukraine so far is based on decisions of the National Assembly. Sofia supplies to Ukraine only surplus property of the Bulgarian Armed Forces," he added.
This aid in no way involves Bulgaria in the war, the Defence Minister said. "We are helping a victim of aggression," he said.
"Bulgaria has surplus stocks that it is providing to Ukraine. All the aid packages voted by the government have been sent. Everything supplied to Ukraine has been declared," said Zapryanov.
