An exhibition dedicated to the second anniversary of the beginning of the Russian aggression against Ukraine, titled, "Solidarity with Ukraine! The Horror of War against Ukraine in Pictures and Child Drawings", was presented in Sofia University by the Dean of the Faculty of Slavic Philology, Prof. Amelia Licheva.

"We thought war would remain only in textbooks, but today we are opening an exhibition in which children draw the war as they see it," commented Licheva.
The exhibition presents photographs and children's drawings that reveal the face of the war in Ukraine.

Sofia Security Forum President Yordan Bozhilov noted that two years ago, Russia treacherously attacked Ukraine, but Russia has other goals.

Russian aggression dates back to before the war in Ukraine and includes the creation of zones of influence, which include Bulgaria. "We cannot allow this, and therefore we must continue our efforts to support Ukraine," said Bozhilov. He called for full, unreserved support for Ukraine, because Ukraine stands for the principles of freedom, the principles of international peace and security.

Ukraine's Ambassador in Sofia Olesya Ilashchuk said that the exhibition in the most prestigious educational institution is a manifestation of support for Ukraine and Ukrainians. Ilashchuk pointed out that Monday's event, which is organized at the beginning of the second year of Russian aggression in Ukraine, presents the photo evidence of Russian war crimes, crimes against humanity. According to her, this is a small part of the evidence that testifies to the genocide against the Ukrainian people. "The Ukrainians did not give up, they overcame a lot of trials and all of us together will defeat the aggressor," said the Ambassador of Ukraine. She thanked Bulgaria and the Bulgarian people for their all-round help and support for Ukraine, political, military and humanitarian.

The exhibition will remain in the Central Foyer of Sofia University until February 22. The event was attended by MPs Hristo Gadzhev, Ivaylo Mirchev, Stanislav Anastasov, representatives of the academic community, the diplomatic corps and students.
