site.btaCabinet Approves Aid for Displaced Persons from Ukraine

The government approved assistance for applicants under the programme for humanitarian assistance to displaced persons from Ukraine with temporary protection in Bulgaria, adopted in 2022, as well as additional spending under the Tourism Ministry's 2024 budget, the Council of Minister said in a press release on Wednesday.

The payments have been verified for the period between June 1, 2022 and October 31, 2023 for 311 approved applications of the persons concerned.

With the approval of the draft act, payments to applicants approved for funding amount to a total of BGN 6,154,260.55 including VAT.

At end-January, the government extended the deadline for re-registration of Ukrainian refugees granted temporary protection in Bulgaria.
