Day 49: First Group of RSV 421 Crew Members Set Foot on Livingston Island

Logistics experts were the first group of crew members of the Bulgarian naval research vessel Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii (RSV 421) to set foot on the shore of Livingston Island, which is home to the Bulgarian Antarctic Base. Some of the supplies intended for the base began to be unloaded using the ship's NIK 421 crane and Zodiac boats. The Bulgarians were receiving help from members of the Spanish expedition from the nearby Juan Carlos I Base.

BTA's Daily News editor Konstantin Karagyozov is the only member of the media who is travelling on board the ship to Livingston Island and back, who will cover the Bulgarian expedition on site throughout the stay in Antarctica. All media outlets can use the Bulgaria-Antarctica BTA's Log for free.
