Due to an official recommendation by the European Commission and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Bulgaria Air has cancelled its flights to and from Israel until October 31, the national aviation service said on its website.

The measure is imposed in order to ensure the safety of passengers and cabin crew in view of the ongoing situation in the Middle East, Bulgaria Air specified.

On Tuesday, the company announced cancelled flights until October 15, but on Thursday extended the cancellations until October 31.
