site.btaPublic Lecture of Nobel Peace Prize Winner, President of Timor-Leste, to be Held at Foreign Ministry

The Foreign Ministry's Diplomatic Institute organizes a public lecture by Jose Ramos-Horta, President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, on the topic Timor-Leste: From Conflict to Peace, Security and Regional Integration, the Institute announced in a press release on Thursday.

The lecture will be held on April 22, 2025, at the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Bulgaria within the framework of the President’s working visit to this country.

The President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1996 for his effort towards finding a just and peaceful solution to the conflict in Timor-Leste.
