Bulgaria's highest ranked male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov lost Thursday his second round match at Erste Bank Open, an ATP 500 tournament in Vienna. Dimitrov suffered a 7-6(5) 4-6 3-6 defeat against Czech player Tomas Machac after two and a half hours on the court.

The Bulgarian managed to stage a comeback in the first set after a break deficit and 3-5 in the tiebreak but could not capitalize on his lead and got eliminated from the competition.

Dimitrov is currently No. 9 in the world rankings.
