site.btaSeven Bulgarian Wrestlers to Take Part in U23 World Championships in Tirana
Bulgaria will participate with seven athletes at the U23 World Wrestling Championships in Tirana (Albania), which start on 21 October.
The championships will open with bouts in the Greco-Roman style. On the first day there will be two national wrestlers - Georgi Anachkov (67 kg) and Dimitar Georgiev (72 kg), and on Tuesday Ivaylo Ivanov (87 kg) will be out.
The team will be led by coach Yulian Georgiev.
The tournament will close with freestyle wrestling. Alen Khubulov (125 kg) will compete on Friday. Earlier this year the national team athlete won the European title for the same age.
On Saturday Ivaylo Tisov (57 kg), Georgi Zhisgov (70 kg) and Radomir Stoyanov (79 kg) will compete. The competitors will be led by coach Dian Dinchev.
Bulgarian referee of the championship will be Ventsislav Filchev.
A total of 661 wrestlers are entered for the championships.
