site.btaSports Ministry to Allocate BGN 4.7 Million to Non-Olympic Sports Federations in 2024

The Sports Ministry has allocated BGN 4.73 million for 2024 to aid non-Olympic sports federations.  The financial support for 2024 is implemented under two programmes: for financial support for projects for the development of sport for excellence in non-Olympic sports and  for projects for human resources and scientific and methodological support of sports federations, said the Ministry on Friday.

Twenty-five federations will receive funding, an increase on the previous year. In the accompanying staffing programme, the salaries of all coaches and officials have been increased by an average of 15% compared with 2023, with an option for full-time employment contracts. For the first time, a second national coach and doctor can be included in the projects of non-Olympic sports federations.
