Wrestler Magomed Ramazanov took the gold in the 86 kg freestyle category at the Grand Prix Zagreb Open in the Croatian capital on Wednesday. Making his international debut for Bulgaria, the Russian transfer defeated world bronze medalist Azamat Dauletbekov (Kazakhstan) 6-5.

In 2020, the Dagestani with Bulgarian citizenship won silver for Russia at the European Championships. He also took first place with the Russian team at the World Cup in 2019.

Magomed is the brother of Ramazan Ramazanov, who brought Bulgaria silver at the European Championships and bronze at the World Championships.
