Grigor Dimitrov advanced to the fourth round of the Shanghai Masters men's tennis tournament, which offers USD 8.8 million in prize money.

On Monday, the No. 18 seed Bulgarian knocked out No. 13 seed Karen Khachanov of Russia 7-6(6) 6-4 after almost two hours of play. He thus secured for himself USD 96,955 from the purse of the tournament and 90 points for the world ranking, where he is in 19th place at present.

At the Shanghai Masters eighth-finals, the best Bulgarian male tennis player of all time will face the winner of the match between Spain's Carlos Alcaraz (No. 1 seed) and Britain's Daniel Evans.
