site.btaBulgaria Among Top Destinations for German Tourists with 41% Growth in Travel Revenue

Bulgaria ranks among the leading destinations for German travellers, posting a 41% increase in travel revenue from Germany for the 2025 summer season, according to data presented by the German Travel Association (Deutscher Reiseverband – DRV). The figures were unveiled on October 9 during the DRV Capital Congress 2025 in Berlin, the Bulgarian Embassy in the German capital said on its Facebook page. Thailand (+18%) and Egypt (+17%) were also among the top-performing destinations.

The Bulgarian Embassy team described the DRV Congress as a key event for Germany’s tourism industry. 2025 marks the 75th anniversary of the association’s founding.

Bulgaria was represented at the forum by Ambassador Grigor Porozhanov and Tihomir Patarinski, Head of the Tourism Affairs Office at the Bulgarian Embassy in Berlin, which is also a member of DRV.
