site.btaSofia Airport Handles 5,600 Flights to 34 Countries in March

In March 2025, Vasil Levski Sofia Airport handled 5,622 flights to 94 destinations in 34 countries, the management of Bulgaria’s main international airport says in a Facebook post.

The month’s most popular destinations were London, Tel Aviv, Istanbul, Vienna and Milan. The flights were operated by 35 airlines.

In February, the airport serviced more than 4,700 flights, and again, London was the most preferred destination.

Sofia Airport was named after Bulgaria’s national hero Vasil Levski on February 19, 2025.
