The first cruise ship of the tourist season docked Monday at the Vidin port. Foreign tourists from the Viking Lif ship will visit the Belogradchik rocks and fortress, as well as the Baba Vida fortress in Vidin, on the Danube.

The local port administration said that over 300 cruise ships are expected to dock at Vidin port during the new tourist season. The season traditionally starts in March, and for the second year in a row it will last until the end of December. In previous years, the active season for tourist cruises on the Danube usually ended in the second half of November.

Municipality of Vidin data shows that during the entire season of last year, 293 cruise ships docked at the Vidin port, with over 40,000 foreign tourists.
