The biggest issue of the Bulgarian economy is the lack of qualified staff, said Boyko Takov, director of the Executive Agency for Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) on Thursday, during the opening of the 12th edition of the Human Resources Industry exhibition HR Industry. The forum will present best practices in management, Talent attraction and retention, technology and innovation in the field of human resources.
The following week, the Bulgarian SME Promotion Agency will present a national survey of more than 500 companies reporting the lack of staff as a major problem, he added. Takov addressed the attendees at the forum by saying that the job of human resource managers is very responsible because they are working with people, the most important resource in the economy.
Employment Agency Director Polina Marinova also said that the HR field is the most important to employers, as HR professionals manage the most important resource - the people. She added that her agency has planned initiatives throughout the year which will invite the HR industry to participate with the aim of better cooperation.
