The exhibition Golden Ear of Wheat by Evelina Valchanova will be showcased at the Re Club Gallery in Sofia, the organizers reported. The display, curated by Daniela Shishmanova, will be open for viewing from November 21 until December 19.
"The artist's creative philosophy is noteworthy, using gold as a metaphor for the most valuable aspects of our lives. It acts as an ancient symbol, embodying the wisdom of the ages. This symbol represents the deep spiritual connection between the earthly and the divine, underscoring the importance of our roots and the significance of our personal choices," the organizers said.
Valchanova was born in Sofia in 1988. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and a master's degree in Art Therapy from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Valchanova specializes in Art Therapy and is active in painting, fashion, and graphic design.
Valchanova teaches fine arts to children and leads the Art in Class Foundation. Her current exhibition is a natural progression from her previous Structural Painting exhibition, with gold now serving as the central theme that unifies all the works under a common concept.
