According to the latest data, over 12,000 participants took part in the three-day festival "Surva", said Deputy Mayor of Pernik Stefan Krastev, who closed the 30th International Festival of Masquerade Games "Surva" 2024. He added that this year's event has exceeded all expectations. He thanked the participants, the jury, the guests and the sponsors of the festival event, including the Ministry of Culture.

In May, Pernik is expected to host for the second time the annual meeting of the Federation of European Carnival Cities (FECC). The first such forum took place there in 2004.

Surva 2024 ended with festive illuminations and a folklore show.

On Monday morning, in the Ceremonial Hall of the Mining Directorate the winners of the large-scale masquerade event will be announced.
