In one of his last interviews, Bulgarian singer, songwriter and TV presenter Georgi Minchev (April 9, 1943 - February 18, 2001) shared that he never thought he was making history. "I never fantasized about being written up in encyclopaedias, and I didn't do it for that. It's just that I enjoy singing," Minchev said. The singer, whose hits include White Silence, Blessed Years and The Bulgarian Rock, would have turned 80 on Sunday.
