Nessebar Mayor Nikolay Dimitrov has lifted the state of emergency in the Elenite resort. The mayor's order states that there is currently no risk to the life or health of the population.
The state of emergency was initially declared on October 3 due to adverse weather conditions. Heavy rainfall in the area claimed the lives of three men and one woman in Elenite. The downpours also caused extensive damage to infrastructure, including buildings and shops, disrupted water and electricity supplies, and swept vehicles into the sea.
Initially, the emergency covered the entire municipality, but on October 10 it was extended for another seven days only for the Elenite resort area.
