The Sofia Waste Treatment Enterprise announced on Facebook that next week waste collection in the capital will return to a normal schedule. The utility thanked citizens for their patience and support in dealing with the waste crisis.

In the coming weeks, schedules for the collection of bulky waste will be prepared and published on the official page of the enterprise.

“Sofia is cleaned not only with machines, but with will, community, and a desire for change,” the municipal enterprise added.

On October 4, a new temporary waste collection arrangements came into effect in the Sofia boroughs of Lyulin and Krasno Selo. The Sofia Municipality assigned waste collection in these two districts to the municipal company Sofekostroy. Volunteers also helped in managing the waste crisis.
