Three separate pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in connection with the deaths of three people in the Elenite resort village. The Burgas District Prosecution Office is overseeing the proceedings, the prosecution office said on Saturday.

The investigations aim to determine the causes that led to these tragic deaths, the prosecution added.

The flooding claimed the lives of three individuals on Saturday: a worker on the ground floor of a building, an excavator operator who was assisting during the disaster, and a border police officer who was patrolling the sea in a boat, searching for people trapped in flooded vehicles.
