Democracy, Rights and Freedoms (DRF)-MRF Floor Leader Dzhevdet Chakarov said Ramazan Bayram is a symbol of mercy, forgiveness, and empathy, and as a time for reflection and strengthening the spiritual bond with close ones and the broader community, in a Facebook post on Sunday.
Chakarov noted that Ramazan Bayram is not only a period of joy and celebration, but also an opportunity to show gratitude, share kindness, and support those in need. After a month of fasting and self-discipline, this celebration represents the victory of spirituality over material concerns, understanding over discord, and unity over division, he added.
Chakarov wished the holiday to bring peace and prosperity into every home, as well as health and happiness. “Let hearts remain open to forgiveness, tolerance, understanding, and mutual support,” he wrote.
He observed that in a world filled with challenges, it is vital to cherish and safeguard harmony among people, regardless of differences. He called for building a society rooted in mutual respect, tolerance, and understanding.
Earlier in the day, Grand Mufti Mustafa Hadzhi spoke to BTA’s Yuzlem Tefikova and said that Ramazan Bayram follows a month of mutual assistance and sharing. He noted the three-day celebration represents the culmination of this spirit of sharing.
