President Rumen Radev and his Montenegro counterpart Jakov Milatovic will visit the Novo Selo training area, where they will be greeted with an honour guard from the Multinational Battle Group, the press service of the presidential institution said. Radev and Milatovic will view a static display of weapons and equipment and will meet with the Bulgarian and Montenegrin contingents.

On October 17, 2022, at an official ceremony, Italy accepted the role of the Battle Group's Framework State, while Bulgaria continues to serve as the host country. The formation of battle groups on the territory of Bulgaria and other member states from Eastern Europe is an important step in bringing vigilance measures in line and demonstrates the Alliance's shared responsibility for its collective security system and the security of each member, President Rumen Radev said at the time.
