The National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria (NAMRB) will hold its 38th General Assembly here on Wednesday, the NAMRB said. The forum will be opened by NAMRB Management Board Chair and Veliko Tarnovo Mayor Daniel Panov. Vice President Iliana Iotova will address the delegates.
A panel discussion will bring together local and central authorities to discuss the government's strategic priorities and key expectations of the Bulgarian municipalities in areas such as local self-government, public finance, regional development and environmental policies, the NAMRB said.
Discussion will cover the 2025 budget, preparations for the euro adoption, the implementation of the National Investment Programme, the future of European funding, the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and structural and cohesion programmes. Delegates will also discuss possible solutions to longstanding problems such as water shortages and waste management.
