site.btaMECh Leader Argues in Favour of Nationalization of LukOil Oil Refinery, Power Distribution Companies "to Fill Budget Gap"

MECh leader Radostin Vassilev Thursday argued in favour of nationalizing the LUKOil oil refinery and the power distribution companies "to fill the budget gap". "If we don't nationalize LUKOiL, the power distribution companies, if we don't update the royalties for the gold deposits, we won't be able to fill the budget gap," Vassilev commented for the press after a hearing of the Finance Minister on the state of the state budget.

Vassilev said that later on Thursday they will be moving "a bill on the gold deposits and next week for the power distribution companies".

He made a point to say, however, that the MECh bills don't get support in the plenary. 

Vassilev said that his party would back a bill for capping supermarket prices.
