The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) was among the winners in the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)'s 31st annual awards ceremony here on Tuesday. The awards featured a bronze statuette of Hermes, crafted by renowned sculptor Stavri Kalinov, along with a plaque and a certificate. These accolades were presented to companies, ambassadors, trade representatives, media outlets, and journalists in recognition of their contributions.
Caretaker Minister of Economy and Industry Petko Nikolov addressed the awardees and guests at the ceremony. Nikolov was among those presenting the awards, alongside Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy Lazar Lazarov, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy Natalia Efremova, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Elena Shekerletova, and BCCI President Tsvetan Simeonov. BCCI members, regional chambers of commerce and industry, industry organizations, representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Bulgaria, and BCCI partners also attended.
BA Glass Bulgaria was the winner in the Top 100 Large Enterprises Ranked by Maximum Sales Revenue, Maximum Profit, and Maximum Profitability of Sales Revenue, Profitability of Assets, and Profitability of Equity for the Last Financial Year (Complex Category).
SumUp Limited, branch Bulgaria was the winner in the Top 100 Large Enterprises Ranked by Maximum Profitability of Assets and Maximum Profitability of Equity for the Last Financial Year (Complex Category).
Bultex 99 was the winner in the Top 100 Medium Enterprises Ranked by Maximum Sales Revenue, Maximum Profit, and Maximum Profitability of Sales Revenue, Profitability of Assets, and Profitability of Equity for the Last Financial Year (Complex Category).
Gravis Bulgaria was the winner in the Top 100 Small Businesses Ranked by Maximum Sales Revenue, Maximum Profit, and Maximum Profitability of Sales Revenue, Profitability of Assets, and Profitability of Equity for the Last Financial Year (Complex Category).
Neomash was the winner in the Top 100 Micro Enterprises Ranked by Maximum Sales Revenue, Maximum Profit, and Maximum Profitability of Sales Revenue, Profitability of Assets, and Profitability of Equity for the Last Financial Year (Complex Category).
Solar Academy Bulgaria was the winner in the Industry Organizations Contributing to Achieving the Goals and Objectives of BCCI category.
Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry won the Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry within the BCCI System Contributing to Achieving BCCI's Goals and Objectives category.
Morocco Ambassador to Bulgaria Zakia El Midaoui won the Foreign Ambassador category for her contributions to the development of economic relations between the two countries and for her role in achieving the goals and objectives of BCCI. "I am delighted to receive this prestigious and important award; it will remain in my heart as one of the most beautiful memories from your beautiful country," El Midaoui said.
Commercial Counsellor Kong Lingyu at the Embassy of China won in the Trade Representative category for his exceptional contribution to improving the economic cooperation between Bulgari and China. Kong pointed out that in the last ten years, trade between the two nations has grown by 130%. He also mentioned that this year is the 75th anniversary of the start of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) won the Media category for its objective coverage of the role of BCCI, BCCI members' stances on current issues, and its consistent broadcasting of news from BCCI's daily activities.
BCCI Chair Simeonov presented the award to BTA Director General Kiril Valchev. Valchev said that this award is very important for BTA, as it works on implementing changes in various areas. Valchev noted the establishment of the Economy Directorate within BTA, the provision of free access to the agency's news, and partnerships with business organizations, with BCCI being a key partner. He also spoke of BTA's robust network of correspondents supporting Bulgarian businesses, now spanning 32 cities, and 49 agreements with national news agencies.
Viktor Dremsizov and Maria Konstantinova, hosts of Bulgaria ON AIR's morning show, won in the Journalist category. The award recognized their unbiased reporting on BCCI's stance and its members' views on current economic issues, clearly highlighting the challenges Bulgarian businesses face and the chamber's role in advocating for them.
