site.btaDay 3 of Protests Demanding Election Annulment
People gathered for the third day in downtown Sofia to demand the annulment of the October 27 snap parliamentary elections. Protesters carrying national flags chanted "Mafia!".
Citizens and supporters of the Velichie party claiming the elections and the results were rigged protested between the buildings of the President's Administration, the Council of Ministers and Parliament. Velichie fell short of the 4% electoral threshold, winning 3.999% of the vote.
Police presence in the area was increased. Traffic on the central boulevard was blocked for a while.
