site.btaSocialists' Programme Includes Abolition of Flat Tax, Introduction of Progressive Taxation

At the start BSP (Bulgarian Socialist Party) - United Left Coalition's campaign here on Saturday, BSP MEP Kristian Vigenin backed the coalition's candidates, Engineer Patar Kanev and Yordan Petkov. The BSP programme includes the abolition of the flat tax and the introduction of progressive taxation.

Vigenin said: "No matter how much they talk against us, how we were not ready for this coalition, the truth is that something good emerged in Bulgaria this summer - a new energy in contrast to the collapse in Bulgarian politics. [...] They [Kanev and Petkov] work. They are good and responsible individuals. This is an important precondition for being a good politician."
