Blue Bulgaria Coalition's Haskovo top-of-the-list MP candidate Tsveta Kirilova said in a position sent to BTA that the intervention in economic processes should be reduced, but the state's involvement in other areas should be strengthened. These are the areas that define the national interest of Bulgaria - national security and defence, health care, education, etc., she specified.

The essential problem of Bulgaria's state management is in understanding the strength of the country's institutional capabilities, both the formulation and implementation of political strategies, as well as the adoption of quality laws, to manage efficiently and with a minimum of bureaucracy, to control illegal enrichment and corruption, to maintain a high level of transparency and accountability in state institutions, Kirilova explained.

She argued that the bureaucratic system in Bulgaria is eaten away by clientelism and corruption. Purifying it through the introduction of a single European system for the prevention and fight against corruption, as well as the implementation of a modern system for administrative services in Bulgaria, is the main and mandatory goal of the institutional reform, said Kirilova, and called for the reduction of the volume of state activities.
