site.btaForeign Minister Kondov Presents Moldovan Ambassador Cebuc with Golden Laurel Branch

On September 19, Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov presented the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova, Anatol Cebuc, with the Foreign Ministry's Golden Laurel Branch Badge of Honour for his outstanding merits in the development and upgrading of bilateral relations and on the occasion of the completion of his term as Ambassador.

In his welcoming speech, Kondov pointed out the contribution of the Moldovan Ambassador to the development of bilateral relations in recent years. As a result, the high-level bilateral political dialogue has become intensive and has brought concrete results and solutions to important issues for both countries.

The Foreign Ministry noted that decisive steps have been taken to support the Bulgarian community in Moldova under various financial programmes, including the national programme for the historical Bulgarian communities, as well as the allocation of funds from Bulgaria’s state budget. The Moldovan partners were highly appreciated for their active support in identifying the most perspective projects, which are the crossroads for common priority objectives.

The Ministry also highlighted the merit of Cebuc for signing on March 26, 2024, the Agreement between the Ministry of Education and Science of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Education and Research of Moldova on the transformation of Taraclia State University into a branch of Angel Kanchev Ruse University. 

Attending the award ceremony were ambassadors of Austria, France, Slovenia, Romania and Mongolia, as well as heads of units within the Foreign Ministry.
