"[Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) Leader Delyan] Peevski, [Vazrazhdane Leader Kostadin] Kostadinov, and [Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) Floor Leader Nikolay] Denkov are one, they demonstrated majority yesterday," GERB Leader Boyko Borissov told journalists in Parliament on Friday. Borissov commented on the establishment of an ad-hoc committee to investigate the facts and circumstances of corrupt practices and systematic abuse of office, carried out to the detriment of citizens and businesses, as well as benefiting companies related to the Mayor of the southern town of Dospat, Elin Radev. The committee was established with 116 votes in favour, 63 against and two abstentions.

Since when does Parliament deal with mayors, he asked.

They demonstrated their majority yesterday, Borissov said and also asked where is the logic in catching a mayor and bringing him to Parliament to question him. Regarding the list presented earlier on Friday by Peevski, which he said included "Rumen Radev's cashiers in the energy sector", Borissov pointed out that corruption at the high levels of power has not been dealt with in the past four years.

"Over these four years, we have heard everything disgustingly ugly between all leaders, institutions, we have killed our authorities and the chaos is complete," he noted. There are institutions first to determine who is bad, who is good, but the most important thing is the people, Borissov said.

He concluded that after these four years Bulgaria is falling behind in every aspect.

Borissov also commented on the negotiations for a cabinet with the third government-forming mandate, which was handed to There Is Such a People (TISP). The talks between GERB-UDF and TISP are to happen on Saturday. Asked, "If TISP nominates Rosen Zhelyazkov for Prime Minister, would you guarantee support for a government?", he replied, "I think these are hypotheses that do not sit today. The question is not to nominate whoever, but what kind of majority will be assembled to be stable and govern for four years. "Without Vazrazhdane, without half of the MRF, there is no way it [a government] will be stable, because in all the parties you get such collisions at the moment that I can't see anything stable," he said.
