Georgi Georgiev Heads Anti-Corruption Committee, Stanislav Balabanov - Citizens Participation Committee

Former chairman of the Sofia Municipal Council, MP of GERB-UDF Georgi Georgiev headed the Committee on Prevention and Counteraction of Corruption in the 50th National Assembly. Lena Borislavova from Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB), Deyan Dechev from "BSP for Bulgaria" and Stanislav Bogdanski from There Is Such a People (TISP) were elected as vice-chairs.

The decision on the establishment of the committee envisages that it will consist of 21 MPs - seven from GERB-UDF, four each from CC-DB and Vazrazhdane, and two each from MRF, "BSP for Bulgaria" and TISP.

Stanislav Balabanov from TISP was elected chairman of the Committee on Direct Citizens' Participation, Complaints and Interaction with Civil Society in the National Assembly. The committee is to be composed of 15 MPs.
